Handling & Storage

• Store in a cool, dry, ventilated area away from sources of heat, moisture and incompatibilities.
• Containers containing this material may be hazardous when empty since they retain product residues (dust, solids); observe all warnings and precautions listed for the product.
• Ensure as low exposure as possible. Local exhaust ventilation is generally preferred as it can control the emissions of the contaminant at its source, preventing dispersion of it into the general work area.

With the recent change of many cooling towers and paper mills to alkaline operating conditions, it is important to use a biocide such as Isothiazolinone CMIT/MIT 14% which remains stable at higher pH values. Before testing of Nitrite level, Here is some point and guideline, what you need to do. : 1 take the following readings; pH, TDS (uS), and nitrite level.and record. 2 add the Chemical your are using. 3. wait for a period of time for the sysem to circulate.

If the TDS and Nitrite drop you have a leak/ unknown makeup. if the TDS stays stable and the nitrite drops you have a biological problem. Bacteria that convert nitrite to nitrate.
