Safety
Hydrochloric acid in high concentrations forms acidic mists. Both the mist and the solution have a corrosive effect on human tissue, with the potential to damage respiratory organs, eyes, skin, and intestines. Upon mixing Muriatic acid with common oxidizing chemicals, such as bleach (NaClO) or permanganate (KMnO4), the toxic gas chlorine is produced. To minimize the risks while working with hydrochloric acid, appropriate precautions should be taken, including wearing rubber or PVC gloves, protective eye goggles, and chemical-resistant clothing.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION

Performance Characteristics
Plastic Properties: The plastic properties of concrete are not significantly affected by the use of RXSOL CIA 222. However, a higher than normal dosage of air-entraining admixture may be required to achieve desired air contents.
Hardened Properties: Depending on the ingredients and proportions of a concrete mixture, a decrease in compressive strength may be experienced with RXSOL CIA 222 typically in the range of 5 to 10 percent. Please consult your local sales representative for recommended concrete mixture adjustments prior to the use of RXSOL CIA 222 admixture. Other hardened properties of concrete are not significantly affected by the use of RXSOL CIA 222.
Slump and Temperature Development: RXSOL CIA 222 has no effect on slump or the temperature development profile of concrete.
Concrete-Steel Bond Strength: Concrete to steel bond strength is not affected by RXSOL CIA 222.

Advantage : RXSOL STAINLESS STEEL CLEANER cleans and polishes in one easy operation. Resists finger printing and masks surface blemishes on stainless steel, chrome and architectural aluminium. Natural derived solvents clean the surface of the metal and also provide a protective film on surfaces keeping them in new condition.

Product Description
Surface PreparationThe optimal substrates for sealing will be at least 28 days old and/or totally cured. When concrete is first put, its surfaces need to be dry, clean, free of bleed water, finished in terms of finishing, and porous enough to allow the concrete to seep into the substrate. Waiting three to seven days after placement, when peak hydration and off-gassing have sufficiently slowed to provide improved sealer penetration into the substrate, can yield further benefits. Surface laitance, dust, dirt, debris, mildew, oil, grease, past sealers, curing agents, paint or other surface coatings, and other pollutants should all be removed from substrates that are already in place. Before applying any cleaning solution or acid to the surface to be cleaned or etched, be sure the surface is fully neutralized.
Application
Prior to application, porosity should always be tested, especially on extremely dense surfaces. For the sealer to penetrate well, the surface needs to be dry. Applying to moist or damp surfaces is not advised. The product only needs to be mixed once; it is a one-part system. Mix the mixture well both in preparation and when applying. Use a temperature of no less than 40°F or more than 95°F for applying or drying. Using a low pressure sprayer, apply evenly. To keep the edge wet while applying material, work in tiny, controllable sections at a time. The product need to be applied to the brink and completely absorbed, free of puddles, in ten minutes. |
Coverage300-400 sq. ft./gal. for machine troweled and smooth surfaces. 200-250 sq. ft./gal. for broom finished concrete surfaces Physical Properties
LimitationsRXSOL-67-6702-005 is designed to work only on porous concrete surfaces and is not intended for asphalt. This product may damage vegetation or may etch glass, vinyl, aluminum, plastic, and metal. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Sealer may be damaged if frozen prior to use. Not intended to seal cracks. Will not remediate structurally unsound surfaces with defects such as chronic dusting or chalking. The use of high alkaline or acidic cleaners on the treated surface is not recommended and can be damaging. The Company does not warranty specific performance results or compatibility with products manufactured by others. The Company shall bear no liability, other than replacement of defective product. A small test must be conducted prior to application. Based upon this test, the purchaser shall determine for themselves the suitability of this product for the intended use. |
Avoid contact from SOLVENT after application.
