  1. This work presents a method for scale prediction in MEG (Mono Ethylene Glycol / 1,2-ethane-diol) containing solutions. It is based on an existing PVT scale model using a Pitzer ion interaction model for the aqueous phase. The model is well suited for scale prediction in saline solutions, where the PVT part is necessary for calculating CO2 phase equilibria being critical for carbonate scale. MEG influences the equilibria contained in the model, and its effect has been added empirically.
