This descaler specifically formulated and developed to rapidly clean mineral scale from passages in water-cooled or heated equipment. It does not contain toxic cresols or other tar oils that Require SARA Title III, Section 313 spill loss or disposal.

RXSOL-11-1008-025 Descaler has the ability to dissolve approximately 1.5kg of calcium carbonate scale per gallon in concentrated form. It does not need to be heated up during cleaning. The uniqueness of this Descaler allows you to clean some equipment while still in operation utilizing a minimum of your own personnel.

RXSOL-11-1008-025 is mixed with fresh water 3 to 20 percent depending on deposition of scaling.
The most effective method is circulation for large systems or components like boilers, evaporators, condensers, heat exchangers and generally closed systems that have the capability to circulate at a temperature of approximately 40-60°C, for 6-12 hours and solutions of 10-40% of RXSOL-11-1008-025 in water. Keep in mind that the strength of the solution is analogous to the degree of deposition of scale .
In case of small components , the soak method in an immersion bath can be used.
If the equipment to be cleaned is contaminated by oil, grease, sludge or carbonized oil, then first of all clean the system with degreaser RXSOL-10-1005.
RXSOL-11-1008-025 should be mixed with fresh water to form a solution of 5-30%, depending on the extent of scaling.
PRECAUTION :::it is essential to thoroughly rinse all metal surfaces at least once with a 0.5% solution of RXSOL-20-2005 ( www.rxmarine.com/alkaleen-liquid-heavy-duty-25-ltr ) in fresh water. This solution should be circulated for 2-4 hours or until an acceptable pH value is obtained. This will neutralize any remaining acidity & passivate steel surfaces.
RXSOL-11-1008--DC should not be used on Aluminium, Zinc, Tin, or any Galvanized Surfaces for which a special grade cleaner should be used. RXSOL Descaling Liquid is a special blend of selected acids blended together to attack the various kinds of minerals deposited as scale in a boiler. Added to the special acid blend is a high performance-penetrating agent to obtain maximum penetration. Special inhibitors blended with RXSOL Descaling Liquid prevent the acid from causing excessive damage to metal surfaces.
Before adding acid to boiler, the steam line should be shut off either by valve or disconnecting line to prevent acid from going into steam line. Hook up circulating pump for circulating acid water in boiler. The pump should be a pump made to withstand acids. A pH of 1 to 2 must be maintained in boiler to obtain optimum results. The amount of boiler acid needed will vary depending on water conditions and the type of scale built up in the boiler. As a starting point, add 5 gallons RXSOL Descaling Liquid to each 100 gallons of water in the boiler. Various makes and models of boilers will vary as to amount of water in boiler.
After acid has been added to boiler water and adjusted to read a pH of 1 or2, start circulating pump and heat water to a temperature of 190° to 200° F. Check pH each 30 minutes and add more acid as the acid dissipates itself dissolving the scale. It is difficult to estimate how much total acid will be needed to acidize a boiler due to various kinds of scale and severity of scale condition. Using a starting point of 5 gallons RXSOL Descaling Liquid for BOILER to each 100 gallons of water and estimate the need of adding 2 gallons every ½ hour per 100 gallons of water for a period of 8 hours would make approximately the total acid needed to acidize a boiler approximately 21 to 29 gallons acid per 100 gallons water depending on an 8 hour or 12 hour acidizing job.
