For commercial kitchens and industrial facilities, grease trap maintenance is essential for compliance, safety, and uninterrupted operations. Grease traps are designed to capture fats, oils, and grease (FOG) before they enter sewer systems, where they can cause costly blockages, environmental damage, and regulatory violations. At RXSOL, we have experience working with industrial facilities to help clean and maintain their grease traps. Below, we answer the most common questions businesses ask about grease traps, how they work, and how to maintain them properly.
A grease trap (also called a grease interceptor) is a plumbing device that separates fats, oils, and grease from industrial wastewater before it reaches the sewer system. As wastewater flows through the trap: FOG rises and solidifies at the surface Solids sink to the bottom Treated water exits through an outlet pipe The trapped grease accumulates in the web while the treated wastewater continues its journey to the sewer system or a wastewater treatment plant. This separation protects plumbing infrastructure and municipal wastewater systems. So it means it is important for your business, but also for the entire sewer system

TESTING PROCEDURE :::
ANLYSIS PROCEDEURE OF SODIUM SILICATE : Take 5gm of sodium dilute it to 250ml in SMF with dist. Water , take 50 ml of the diluted solution add 2-4 drops of methyl red indicator. Then titrate it against IN {approx.} HCL Light Pink is the end point. Take this reading as “A” ml. To this solution add 5 gm of sodium fluoride dissolve properly add 6-7 drops of methyl red indicator titrate against IN HCL appearance of slight pink colour is the end point . Take this reading as “B” ml
