Provides corrosion protection in the liquid and the vapor phase
When used in hydrostatic testing the product provides protection in liquids below, above and at the liquid levels. Protection of recessed and hard to reach areas. Complicated valves and the interior surfaces of piping and equipment, which are often difficult or impossible to reach, are protected with true Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor action. Can be applied for hydrotest solution, metalworking fluids, coatings, adhesives and water treatment formulations.
Hydro Testing Corrosion Inhibitor RXSOL 4000 is a cocktail of water soluble chemicals designed to protect pipelines from corrosion during hydrostatic testing and mothball operations. Hydro Testing Corrosion Inhibitor RXSOL 4000 incorporates oxygen scavenger to rapidly remove oxygen, biocide to prevent Microbial Influenced Corrosion (MIC), together with a film forming corrosion inhibitor to combat acid (low pH) corrosion. Hydro Testing Corrosion Inhibitor RXSOL 4000 represents a single stage treatment chemical treatment, for hydrotest and mothball operations. Hydro Testing Corrosion Inhibitor RXSOL 4000 is a completely soluble product in fresh water, seawater and in most oilfield brine solutions. It is, therefore, suitable for use in water injection systems (which have no mechanical deaeration), hydrotest and mothball operations, and as a packer fluid. Hydro Testing Corrosion Inhibitor RXSOL 4000 has been used in a large number of major projects in the North Sea, Latin America and South East Asia.
Risk of serious damage to eyes. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water & seek medical advice. Wear suitable gloves and eye / face protection
Performance Characteristics
Plastic Properties: The plastic properties of concrete are not significantly affected by the use of RXSOL CIA 222. However, a higher than normal dosage of air-entraining admixture may be required to achieve desired air contents.
Hardened Properties: Depending on the ingredients and proportions of a concrete mixture, a decrease in compressive strength may be experienced with RXSOL CIA 222 typically in the range of 5 to 10 percent. Please consult your local sales representative for recommended concrete mixture adjustments prior to the use of RXSOL CIA 222 admixture. Other hardened properties of concrete are not significantly affected by the use of RXSOL CIA 222.
Slump and Temperature Development: RXSOL CIA 222 has no effect on slump or the temperature development profile of concrete.
Concrete-Steel Bond Strength: Concrete to steel bond strength is not affected by RXSOL CIA 222.
