Refiners and jewellery manufacturers dissolve, separate and precipitate precious metals with a few strong reagents, and RXSOL supplies them in refining grades: Nitric Acid 58–62% and Sulphuric Acid for digestion and parting, Hydrogen Peroxide 35% as an oxidant, and Hydrazine Hydrate 80% as a reducing agent to precipitate gold from solution (sodium metabisulphite and oxalic acid, also used for precipitation, are under Powder Chemicals and Lab Chemicals). Supply is in 35–50 kg carboys with MSDS; these are hazardous goods and ship by road with documentation.

Do you supply aqua regia ready-mixed?
No — nitric and hydrochloric acids are supplied separately and mixed on site at 1:3.
Which reducing agent precipitates gold cleanly?
Hydrazine hydrate or sodium metabisulphite; hydrazine gives a dense, fast precipitate but needs good ventilation.
Is there a minimum quantity?
One carboy per acid; small refiners can order mixed consignments.
