Frequently Asked Questions - Cement Remover Advance

1. What is Cement Remover ADVANCE used for?
Cement Remover ADVANCE is used for dissolving and removing hardened cement, mortar, lime, and concrete deposits from construction equipment, floors, tiles, walls, and industrial surfaces.

2. How is it different from normal cement removers?

Unlike ordinary acid-based cleaners, Cement Remover ADVANCE contains a dual modified acid system along with corrosion inhibitors and surfactants. This makes it more powerful, safer on metals, and lower in fuming.

3. Can Cement Remover ADVANCE be used on tiles and painted surfaces?

Yes, it can be used on tiles, ceramics, and painted surfaces, provided it is used in the recommended dilution. Always do a small patch test before full application.

4. How should it be diluted for use?

Heavy deposits: Dilute 1:2 with water or use undiluted if too heavy deposits

Normal cleaning: Dilute 1:5 with water.

Light deposits / routine cleaning: Dilute 1:10 with water.

5. Does it come in liquid or gel form?

Both. Cement Remover ADVANCE is available as a clear liquid for general use and as a gel formulation that clings to vertical walls and overhead surfaces for longer contact time.

6. Is it safe to use indoors?

Yes, but ensure good ventilation. Cement Remover ADVANCE should always be used with PPE (gloves, goggles, mask) in a well-ventilated area.

7. Can it remove lime scale and rust?

Yes. The dual modified acid system helps dissolve lime scale, calcium carbonate, and mineral deposits. It can also assist in removing light rust stains, although it is primarily designed for cement and concrete residues.

8. How long should it be left on the surface?

Allow a contact time of 5–10 minutes. But contact time varies from deposit to deposit. Do not allow the solution to dry on the surface. Rinse thoroughly with plenty of clean water. Repeat the process if necessary.

9. What packaging options are available?

Cement Remover ADVANCE is supplied in 25 Ltr cans, 210 Ltr drums, 1000 Ltrs IBC Tanks. Custom packaging is available on request.

Frequently Asked Questions FAQs on Membrane Cleaning Liquid

Q1. What is ORG 75 Membrane Cleaning Acid used for?
ORG 75 is an acidic membrane cleaner designed to remove inorganic scales, carbonates, sulfates, and iron deposits from RO, NF, UF, and MF membrane systems that are acid-tolerant.

Q2. Why is the recommended dosage only 0.3%?
Even at a low concentration (~0.3% v/v), it provides sufficient acidity to dissolve mineral scales without exceeding the pH limits recommended by membrane manufacturers. This ensures safe but effective cleaning.

Q3. How often should I clean with ORG 75 Membrane Cleaning Acid?
Cleaning is recommended when:
  • Normalized permeate flow drops by 10–15%, or
  • Differential pressure rises by 15–20%.
For preventive maintenance, many plants schedule cleaning every 3–6 months, depending on feedwater quality.

Q4. Is ORG 75 Membrane Cleaning Acid compatible with all membranes?
It is compatible with most acid-tolerant RO, NF, UF, and MF membranes. However, always verify with the membrane manufacturer’s chemical compatibility guidelines.

Q5. Can ORG 75 Membrane Cleaning Acid  be used at higher concentrations for severe fouling?
Yes, in exceptional cases of heavy scaling, higher concentrations (up to 0.5–1.0%) may be used, but only under the advice of the membrane OEM or a water treatment specialist.

Q6. Is ORG 75 Membrane Cleaning Acid  safe to handle?
It is a corrosive acidic liquid. Operators must wear gloves, goggles, and protective clothing during use. It is safer than stronger mineral acids like HCl, but still requires standard chemical handling precautions.

Q7. What happens if the cleaning solution is reused?
A solution can sometimes be reused if not heavily contaminated, but effectiveness drops as it neutralizes during cleaning. For best results, prepare a fresh 0.3% solution for each CIP cycle.

Q8. How should ORG 75 Membrane Cleaning Acid  be stored?
Store in tightly closed HDPE containers in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area, away from strong alkalis and oxidizers. Avoid freezing and direct sunlight. Shelf life is 24 months.
