MOLECULAR SIEVE 4A
Molecular sieves are crystalline metal aluminsilicates having a threedimensional interconnecting network of silica and alumina tetrahendra. This sodium form reoresents the type A family of molecular sieves. Effective pore opening is -4A0, thus excluding molecules of effective diameter>4A, e.g., propane.
Type 4A molecular sieve is typically used in regenerable drying systems to remove water vapor or contaminants which have a smaller critical diameter than four angstroms.Generally considered a universal drying agent in nonpolar media. Due to its unique crystal structure the water of crystallization is removed from the network by heating to produce uniform cavities called pores which selectivley adsorb molecules of a specific size. This strong adsorptive force allows molecular sieves to remove many gas or liquid impurities to ppm or less levels. Our molecular Sieve exhibits high resistance to attrition and physical damage during service.
