RXSOL corrosion inhibitors are grouped by where the corrosion happens. During acid cleaning: Acid Corrosion Inhibitor RXSOL 213 and Corrosion Inhibitor for Citric Acid, added to hydrochloric, sulphamic or citric acid so the acid attacks scale and not steel. In cooling and closed systems: Corrosion Inhibitor for Multi Metal Cooling Water, Corrosion Inhibitor Closed Open Cooling Water System, RXSOL 4000 (nitrite-borate), with cyclohexylamine for condensate. In process and oilfield streams: Corrosion Inhibitor Carbon Dioxide and H2S (filming amine), Hydrotech 3670 RX for hydrotest water and lay-up. On bare metal: Corrosion Inhibitor for Metal Rust Preventive (dewatering and film-forming fluids). Also listed: oxygen scavengers and vanadium pentoxide used in inhibitor and catalyst formulations.

Dosing is in ppm or percent of the fluid treated, with contact time and the film-persistence test where relevant; packs 5, 25 and 210 litres.
