Sewage Chemicals Treatment

Water Treatment

Marine sewage plants, STPs and industrial effluent treatment share the same chemistry: coagulate, flocculate, settle, control foam and odour, and dechlorinate before discharge. RXSOL supplies each step. Coagulants: Ferrous Sulphate Heptahydrate (crystal and liquid), ferric chloride, poly-aluminium chloride. Flocculants: Anionic Polyacrylamide Flocculant, Anionic Polyelectrolyte RX Floc 100, Anionic Polymer RXFLOC 124, Polyacrylamide PAM Emulsion, Partially Hydrolysed Polyacrylamide (PHPA) and EGR Flocculant for scrubber wash water. pH and nutrients: Phosphoric Acid, Formic Acid. Foam and odour: Antifoam Defoamer (silicone and non-silicone), Odor Control BAC (bacterial). Discharge: Sodium Meta Bisulphate powder for dechlorination, Corrosion Inhibitor for the return lines.

Pages give the make-up concentration for polymers (usually 0.1–0.5% solution), dose in ppm and jar-test guidance; bags of 25 kg and drums of 25/210 litres.

Frequently asked questions

Anionic or cationic polymer for sewage?

Anionic polyacrylamide suits mineral and coagulated sludge; cationic grades suit biological sludge dewatering. Run a jar test — we send sample sachets.

How do I make up a polyacrylamide solution?

Dissolve slowly into stirred water at 0.1–0.5% w/v, age 30–60 minutes, then dose; never add water to the powder.

What controls odour in a marine sewage plant?

Odor Control BAC bacterial dosing to the holding tank, plus a defoamer if the aeration foams.

Do you supply EGR / scrubber wash-water flocculant?

Yes — EGR Flocculant is formulated for exhaust-gas scrubber effluent.
