MOLECULAR SIEVE 13X (10A)
Molecular sieves are synthetic zeolites (complex alumino-silicates of sodium, potassium or calcium) of various pore sizes, When the water of hydration is driven off which result in an empty network called pores / cavities. Due to their unique crystal structure the cavaities and pores are precisely uniform in size which selectively adsorb molecules of a specific size. This strong adsorptive force allows molecular sieves to remove many gas or liquid impurities to ppm or less levels. Our Molecular sieve exhibits high resistance to attrition and physical damage during service.
The sodium form of 13X(10A) represents the basic structure of the type X family, with an effective pore opening of -7.2 angstrom which can be stretchable up to -10 angstrom diameter range.

Major Applications: Type 13X is uesed commercially for general gas drying, air plant feed purification (simultaneous removal of H2O and CO2) and liquid hydrocarban and natural gas sweetening (H2S and mercapstan removal). A;; molecules which can not be adsorbed on type 13X. In addition, type 13X can adsorb molecules of larger critical diameters, such as aromatics and branched-chain hydrocarbons.

Dosage and directions

Molecular Sieve 13X  is a multiple purpose, highly porous, high capacity alkali metal alumino-silicate in the spherical form. It is the sodium form of the Type X crystal structure with pore diameters of approximately 10Å. It can adsorb all molecules that can be adsorbed by 3A, 4A, and 5A molecular sieve. Type 13X molecular sieve can also adsorb molecules such as aromatics and branched-chain hydrocarbons, which have large critical diameters.

13X-APG adsorbent is the sodium form of the Type X molecular sieve and an alkali metal aluminosilicate. 13X-APG adsorbent will adsorb molecules with critical diameters up to 8 angstroms.

Characteristics and notes

Formula:
Na2O*Al2O3*(2.8+/-0.2)SiO2*(6-7)H2O
Attention:
To avoid damp and pre-adsorption of organics before running or must to be reactivated.

HazardSummary : Repeated or prolonged exposure may irritate eyes, skin and respiratory system. When first wetted, the product can heat up to the boiling point of water. Flood with water to cool material. Repeated and prolonged inhalation of crystalline silica in the form of quartz from occupational sources may cause cancer.

Skin : May cause skin irritation. The product gets hot as it first adsorbs water.

Eyes : Dust and/or product may cause eye discomfort and/or irritation seen as tearing and reddening.

Ingestion : The product gets hot as it first adsorbs water. Burns to moist body tissue can result if contact is prolonged.

Inhalation : Exposure to dust particles generated from this material may cause irritation of the respiratory tract. Repeated and prolonged inhalation of crystalline silica in the form of quartz from occupational sources may cause cancer. Chronic Exposure : Prolonged or repeated inhalation may cause lung injury/cancer.

Primary Routes of Entry : Contact with skin and eyes. Exposure may also occur via inhalation or ingestion if product dust is generated.

Inhalation

Remove to fresh air. If symptoms persist, call a physician

Skin contact Wash off with soap and plenty of water. If skin irritation persists, call a physician
Eye contact  Rinse immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. If eye irritation persists, consult a physician
Ingestion Drink at least 2 glasses of water. Obtain medical attention. Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person
Notes to physician Treatment This product is a desiccant and generates heat as it adsorbs water. The used product can contain material of a hazardous nature. Identify that material and treat symptomatically.

Suitable extinguishing media : Not combustible.

Use extinguishing measures that are appropriate to local circumstances and the surrounding environment.

Specific hazards during firefighting : The product itself does not burn. The used product can retain material of a hazardous nature. Identify that material and inform the fire fighters.

Special protective equipment for firefighters : In the case of respirable dust and/or fumes, use self-contained breathing apparatus and dust impervious protective suit.

Personal precautions : For personal protection see section 8. Environmental precautions : No special environmental precautions required. Methods for cleaning up : Sweep, shovel or vacuum spilled product into appropriate containers (do not use a vacuum if material has contacted a hydrocarbon material).
