Overview

TIN METAL GRANULAR Reducing agent in an acidic medium low melting alloys.

Applications

Tin has many uses. It takes a high polish and is used to coat other metals to prevent corrosion, such as in tin cans, which are made of tin-coated steel. Alloys of tin are important, such as soft solder, pewter, bronze and phosphor bronze.

Dosage and directions

tin (Sn), a chemical element belonging to the carbon family, Group 14 (IVa) of the periodic table. It is a soft, silvery white metal with a bluish tinge, known to the ancients in bronze, an alloy with copper.

Characteristics and notes

tin granules are used as anodes in methanesulfonic acid baths. The main use is reel to reel tin plating. They are placed in rectangular titanium baskets with a funnel to optimize filling. An anode bag is recommended for filtration.

Safety and SDS

Read the safety data sheet before handling. Wear suitable gloves and eye protection.
