Descaling — send equipment type, metals, scale type (carbonate, silica, iron), volume and whether circulation is possible. We specify the descaler (inhibited acid such as Descalex, Marine Descaler, ScaleX Pro, or a chelant for aluminium), the concentration (usually 5–10%), the temperature (40–60 °C), the end-point (no further effervescence, pH stays below 2), the neutraliser and the flush. Corrosion inhibitor (RXSOL 213 or Rodine) is included when plain acid is used.
Passivation — for welded stainless steel we give the pickling (RX Jelly paste), neutralisation, passivation (Passivex C nitric or Safe Passivator 630 citric) and verification (copper-sulphate or ferroxyl test) sequence with dwell times and PPE.
On site — at Indian ports and Navi Mumbai industrial areas our staff can attend for large jobs [CONFIRM].
Frequently asked questions
How do I size the descaler quantity?
Roughly 10% of the circuit volume as concentrate for a 10% solution; heavy scale needs a second charge — the procedure estimates both.
Can you descale aluminium heat exchangers?
With chelant or sulphamic-based products, not hydrochloric acid.
Do you supply the pumps?
AODD and circulation pumps are available from Pumps & Accessories.
