Sampling And Testing
A sample of boiler water should be drawn for analysis daily. The sample should always be taken from the same point after blow down, cooled and tested immediately. Follow the Rxsol Hardness Test Kit instructions and fill the Boiler Water Log Form according to result results. It is important that regular testing is carried out to ensure levels of treatment are correct.

Toluene is toxic if swallowed or inhaled. It is also harmful in contact with the skin. Toluene is very flammable, so presents a significant fire risk. There is some evidence that repeated exposure to toluene may cause reproductive harm.Toluene should be stored in a "non-chlorinated waste" container for subsequent disposal.Safety glasses. If gloves are required, polyvinyl alcohol is recommended.

Wear safety glasses. The working area must be well ventilated to prevent the build-up of toluene vapour. Make sure that any sources of ignition, such as Bunsen burners, hot plates and hot air guns, are removed before you start work.
Eye contact: Immediately flush the eye with plenty of water. Continue for at least ten minutes and call for medical help. Skin contact: Wash off with soap and water. Remove any contaminated clothing. If the skin reddens or appears damaged, call for medical aid. Note that clothes soaked in toluene will be very flammable, so should be removed in an area in which there is no risk that they might catch fire. If swallowed: Call for immediate medical help.

Preventing Silver Nitrate stains on your skin
Here is a neat trick :::
1 - Dissolve 2 teaspoons of common table salt in 1 Cup of warm water.
2 - Place this Salt solution close by where you will be working with Silver Nitrate solutions.
Then, if you spill Silver Nitrate solution on your skin, do this:
1 - Stop what you are doing.
2 - Rub the Salt solution completely onto your skin, where you think the Silver Nitrate spilled.
3 - Rub HARD, get the Salt solution as deeply into your skin as you can. You can use a paper towel.
4 - Work quickly - you have about 10 seconds!
5 - After a minute or so, rinse off the Salt solution in plain tap water. If you do this promptly, the Silver Nitrate will convert to Silver Chloride, and your skin will not darken when you later go out into the sunlight!
