Overview
RXSOL-16-1696-030 is an over all purposes cleaner for Ferrous and Non-ferrous metals and has wide range of applications. The cleaner has long service life with very good cleaning effect. It is alkaline in nature without Cyanide and any complexing agent and it removes grease, soil, weak scale layers and leaves the surface active and bright.

Dosage and directions
BATH MAKE UP
- Fill the tank approximately 2/3 rd of the tank with warm water.
- Add the required amount of RXSOL-16-1696-030 and stir till all the material is disloved.
- Fill the tank to working level with water and heat to operating temperature.
MAINTENANCE
The concentration of the bath can be best determined by simple acid base titration using phenolphthalein as indicator.
Titrate 5ml of sample solution against 1N H2SO4. The concentration of the cleaner can
be known by the formula given below : Calculation : Conc. = R x N x 15 Where, R = Burette reading N = Normality of H2SO4.
Any grease that collects on the surface during operation should be removed in order to avoid resoiling of components during lifting out of the solution. The loss of water by evaporation has to be made up from time to time. If the solution acts slowly after some period of usage and some components are no longer sufficiently cleaned, the bath should be replaced with the new one.

CONTROL
The cleaner solution can easily and effectively be controlled by removing floating oil over the surface either manually or by means of circulating pump and an oil trap regularly. The concentration of the solution can be maintained by analysing the alkalinity of the solution by simple titration with standard acid using Phenolphthalein as an indicator.
CAUTION
RXSOL-16-1696-030 is alkaline in nature and contact of the skin or eyes should be avoided.

Approach release from upwind. Ventilate area of leak or spill. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment as specified in Section 8. Isolate hazard area. Keep unnecessary and unprotected personnel from entering. Contain and recover liquid when possible. Carefuly neutrallize spill with dilute HCl. Collect liquid in an appropriate container or absorb with an inert material (e. g., vermiculite, dry sand, earth), and place in a chemical waste container. Use water spray to cool, absorb, and disperse vapors. Do not use combustible materials, such as saw dust. Do not flush to sewer!.

Incompatibilities: |
Sodium hydroxide in contact with acids and organic halogen compounds, especially trichloroethylene, may causes violent reactions. Contact with nitromethane and other similar nitro compounds causes formation of shock-sensitive salts. Contact with metals such as aluminum, magnesium, tin, and zinc cause formation of flammable hydrogen gas. Sodium hydroxide, even in fairly dilute solution, reacts readily with various sugars to produce carbon monoxide. Precautions should be taken including monitoring the tank atmosphere for carbon monoxide to ensure safety of personnel before vessel entry. |
