Isothiazolinone is high performance, broad spectrum, antimicrobial agents based on the proven isothiazolone chemistry. It is excellent Isothiazolinone biocide and Oilfield Bactericide. They are effective at very low concentrations in controlling both the planktonic and surface growth of bacteria, fungi and algae and have been produced specifically for water treatment and paper mill applications. The bactericidal effect of Isothiazolinones is carried out through breaking the bond between bacteria and algae protein.
