pH Correction Media
- Part number
- RXSOL-43-8109-025
- Category
- Cooling Water Chemical
- Brand
- RXSOL
Overview
pH Correction Media is a natural, reactive limestone-based filtration medium designed to neutralise acidic and aggressive water. It increases pH by converting free CO₂ into bicarbonate while releasing calcium to stabilise water chemistry. The media also supports the removal of iron during normal filtration. It gradually dissolves during use, ensuring continuous and controlled pH adjustment.
Applications
Areas of Application of pH Media
- Groundwater and borewell treatment
- Industrial water pretreatment
- Reverse osmosis and demineralisation pretreatment
- Cooling and boiler make-up water pretreatment
- Small community and packaged water treatment plants
Dosage and directions
- Raw water acidity
- CO₂ content
- Operating flow rate
- Required pH increase
- Partial refilling is normally sufficient during routine maintenance.
Characteristics and notes
- Raises pH and alkalinity by neutralising free carbon dioxide
- Increases calcium hardness and reduces corrosivity of treated water
- Supports iron removal during filtration
- Reactive media that self-consumes and requires periodic replenishment
Safety and SDS
